Subaru Body Repair Questions

Can you repair an Outback Wilderness fender flare without replacing the fender?

Often, yes. We inspect the plastic flare, clips, and underlying metal separately. A cracked molding may need replacement even when the painted fender is undamaged or repairable. We identify the correct Wilderness trim and check the replacement's fit and finish.

Will a rear bumper collision affect my Subaru's Blind-Spot Detection?

It can on equipped models. Subaru's Blind-Spot Detection system uses rear radar sensors, so an impact to the bumper or their mounting areas may require further checks. We inspect the damaged body components and identify any necessary sensor inspection or calibration by a qualified provider.

Does Subaru EyeSight use sensors inside the front bumper?

EyeSight primarily uses cameras mounted near the windshield, rather than the rear-bumper radar used for Blind-Spot Detection. A simple bumper-cover repair does not automatically mean the EyeSight cameras need calibration. We identify which safety components the collision actually affected and explain any required checks.

Can you repair a dented aluminum hood on a Subaru BRZ?

We inspect the dent, panel edges, and hinge attachments before deciding. The newer BRZ uses aluminum for the hood and other selected exterior panels, which require different techniques from steel. Sharp folds or damaged attachment areas may make replacement the suitable option.

Can you fix a Subaru WRX hood scoop damaged in a collision?

We inspect the scoop, fasteners, hood opening, and adjacent panels. Damage confined to the scoop may allow component replacement without replacing the hood. If the impact has distorted the hood structure or mounting area, we'll explain the additional work needed.

What if my Forester power rear gate won't close after a rear impact?

We examine the gate hinges, latch, body opening, and surrounding panels. Misalignment can result from damage beyond the gate skin. We plan the necessary bodywork and flag any separate checks of the power rear-gate components before completion.

Can you match Subaru Geyser Blue or Crystal White Pearl paint?

We check the existing finish and select an appropriate color formula before refinishing. Geyser Blue is used on Wilderness models, while Crystal White Pearl has a layered appearance. We assess spray-out samples and blending needs to match adjacent panels as closely as possible.

Can you repair a Subaru rocker panel after a side impact?

We inspect the outer rocker panel, adjacent door opening, and any reinforced sections affected by the collision. Minor exterior dents may qualify for repair, while damage to structural joints can require replacement. We explain the approved work and replacement options after examining your Subaru.
