Insurance Claim Collision Repair in Los Angeles
- Limited lifetime warranty on paint and bodywork
You don't have to use the insurer's shop.
Your insurer may suggest their network shop. You don't have to use it, and once you've picked yours, they can't push you to switch. Same coverage, same deductible.
The network shop cares about the insurance company. We care about you. They make the insurer happy. We make our customers happy.
We handle claims from GEICO, State Farm, Progressive, Mercury, AAA and all other insurances.
Three things California law says
about your claim
These come from the Insurance Code and the Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations. Each one is yours to use.
-
The insurer cannot require a specific shop
A recommended or network shop is a suggestion. You may choose another automotive repair dealer.
California Insurance Code § 758.5(a) (opens in a new tab) -
After you choose, the insurer may not steer you elsewhere
Once you name your repair shop, the insurer may not suggest a different one outside the limited exceptions in the law.
10 CCR § 2695.8 and Ins. Code § 758.5(c) (opens in a new tab) -
Reasonable repair cost is not capped at the network-shop price
If you choose your own shop, the insurer may not limit or discount reasonable repair costs to what its chosen shop would have charged. Coverage and deductible still come from your policy.
California Insurance Code § 758.5(d)(2) (opens in a new tab)

What we can say before inspection
- We can review an insurer estimate against documented damage.
- Additional damage may require a revised estimate or supplement.
- Cost and timing remain conditional on scope, parts and claim review.

-
Check drivability
If the car pulls, leaks, or lost a light, do not drive it. Call us at (310) 880-7575 and we can help arrange towing to the shop.
-
Open the claim
Report the accident to the insurer, yours or the at-fault driver’s. When they ask where the car goes, naming your own shop is your right.
-
Estimate & documentation
We inspect and photograph the damage, review any insurer estimate line by line, and send our documentation to the adjuster.
-
Supplements & authorization
If teardown reveals more damage, we file a supplement with the adjuster. You see and approve the repair plan before work begins.
-
Repair & quality check
Body, frame and paint work, then a quality check before pickup. The work is backed by a limited lifetime warranty on paint and bodywork.
From a customer whose claim we handled
"Art, Vinh & Arman were great to work with. They were very informative throughout the claim process, called and updated me often and made sure the process was effortless. They even delivered the car to my house! White glove service!"

Questions people ask us
Will my insurance pay if I pick AZ instead of their network shop?
Your coverage and deductible come from your policy and do not change with your choice of shop. For covered damage, California law requires the insurer to pay the reasonable cost of repair at the body shop you choose. It may not cap payment at what its own network shop would have charged.
The insurer already sent me an estimate. Is that what the repair costs?
Treat it as a starting point, not the final number. Initial estimates are usually written from photos or a quick look, and collision damage often continues under the panels. We review the estimate line by line, document what teardown reveals, and file supplements with the adjuster. The repair follows the damage.
What is a supplement?
A supplement is the documented request a shop files with your adjuster when disassembly reveals damage the first estimate could not see. It revises the claim's repair scope. Supplements are a normal part of collision claims. We photograph the findings, write them up, and handle the approvals with your adjuster.
Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?
Yes. We give a limited lifetime warranty on paint and bodywork: bodywork workmanship, and paint against peeling, bubbling, and cracking, for as long as you own the vehicle. It does not cover parts under their own manufacturer warranty, rust from unrepaired damage, damage from later accidents, or normal wear. The warranty is not transferable.
Can you waive or discount my deductible?
No, and be careful with any shop that offers to. California law prohibits repair shops from offering discounts to offset an insurance deductible. Your deductible is set by your policy. We tell you the number up front and put everything in writing to you and your adjuster.
Do I need to file the claim before coming in?
No. You can get the free estimate first and open the claim after, or the other way around. Both work. Once the claim exists, we take over the damage documentation and the adjuster communication. When the insurer asks, name AZ Auto Collision Center as your body shop of choice.
Will you deal with the adjuster for me?
Yes. We are a body shop that works with insurance claims every day; it is most of what we do. We send the adjuster our damage documentation, respond to questions about the estimate, and file supplements when teardown reveals more. You stay informed and you approve the repair plan. The back-and-forth is our job.
Can I bring the insurer's estimate?
Yes. Bring it with you. We review it against the damage we document and explain the repair plan before you authorize work.
Does choosing my own shop change my coverage or deductible?
No. Your coverage and deductible come from your policy. Choosing a repair shop does not rewrite those terms.
