Can you repair aluminum body panels on an EV?
Yes, where the vehicle's repair procedures allow it. Our shop has aluminum welding equipment as well as a frame machine. Some damaged aluminum panels or structural parts need replacement, and we explain that in the written estimate.
Does EV body damage mean the battery needs repair?
Not necessarily. A damaged bumper or outer panel does not by itself mean the battery is damaged. An impact near the floor or battery area needs further assessment. Battery work is separate from body repair and depends on what that assessment finds.
What affects the cost and timing of an EV collision repair?
The damaged parts, body materials, paintwork and required safety-system checks affect the estimate. Parts availability and insurance claim review can also affect timing. We explain the work and expected schedule after inspecting the vehicle.
Are OEM parts available for electric vehicles?
OEM parts are available. We check availability for your make and model and explain the parts options before ordering. If insurance is paying, coverage depends on your policy and claim.
Will driver-assistance systems need calibration on my EV?
When required, we calibrate affected advanced driver-assistance systems. The vehicle equipment, damage and repair procedures determine whether calibration belongs in the repair plan.
