Land Rover Models We Repair

Our shop works on Defender 90, 110, and 130, Discovery, Discovery Sport, and earlier Land Rover vehicles, including LR2, LR3, and LR4 models. We account for generational differences, including body construction, suspension design, four-wheel-drive systems, and installed accessories. Newer Defender models use an aluminum-intensive unibody architecture, while earlier Land Rover vehicles may require different structural repair methods.

Land Rover Collision Repair Questions

Is a modern Land Rover Defender built on a separate truck frame?

No. Defender models introduced for the 2020 model year use Land Rover's aluminum-intensive D7x monocoque architecture, rather than a traditional separate ladder frame. That distinction affects structural repairs after a collision. We establish the damaged body sections and follow the relevant procedures for that Defender generation.

Can an underbody impact damage a Land Rover's four-wheel-drive system?

Yes. An impact can damage protective panels, axle connections, driveshafts, differential mounts, or adjacent components. A vehicle may still drive even if attachments are damaged. We account for the affected mechanical parts and incorporate qualified driveline repairs when the collision requires them.

Why is my Discovery showing a Terrain Response or stability-control warning?

Terrain Response and stability-control functions rely on information from several vehicle systems. A collision can damage wheel-speed sensors, wiring, steering-related components, or other equipment involved in those systems. Diagnostic work determines the cause. We include the necessary repairs and qualified electronic checks in the collision job.

Can a rear-end collision damage my Defender's towing equipment?

It can affect the towbar, hitch connections, mounting points, trailer wiring, or nearby rear structure. A rear bumper that looks repairable doesn't guarantee the towing hardware is safe to use. We account for damaged components and include the necessary replacement or specialist work before towing resumes.

What if my Land Rover's air suspension stopped working after an accident?

An impact may damage an air spring, ride-height sensor, suspension arm, compressor connection, or mounting bracket. The vehicle may lean or display suspension warnings. We address the collision-damaged bodywork and incorporate the necessary mechanical and electronic suspension repairs on equipped Land Rover models.

Can a side collision affect my Land Rover's door seals and water resistance?

Yes. If an impact shifts a door opening, pillar, or adjoining body section, it can disturb the fit of the door, glass, or weather seals. We restore the affected body alignment and attachments and include the necessary sealing work. Proper repairs require more than replacing the visibly damaged door panel.

Can you repair an older Land Rover LR4 as well as a newer Discovery?

Yes, for repairs within our facility's capabilities. Older LR4 models and newer Discovery vehicles have different structural designs, body components, and repair procedures. We identify the model year and affected construction before determining which structural corrections or replacement operations are appropriate.

What if my Defender was damaged while driving off-road?

A rock strike, deep rut, or hard landing can damage suspension mounts, protective underbody components, steering links, or adjacent structures. The vehicle's body may show relatively little damage. We handle eligible body and structural repairs and incorporate the necessary mechanical work before the SUV returns to use.
