About Our Shop
AZ Auto Collision Center provides eligible BMW EV collision repair and exterior bodywork for all BMW models at our Los Angeles facility. We repair accident-damaged panels, bumpers, glass, and painted finishes using appropriate body repair equipment and computerized color matching.
BMW electric vehicles are not built alike. The i3's carbon-fiber passenger cell and the iX's mixed-material construction require different repair decisions from conventional exterior panel work. We identify those restrictions before accepting a specialized repair.
We also assist with insurance claims and provide a limited lifetime warranty on qualifying bodywork and paint.
BMW Electric Vehicle Collision Repair FAQs
Can you repair carbon-fiber damage on a BMW iX?
The answer depends on the component and severity of damage. The BMW iX combines an aluminum spaceframe with carbon-fiber reinforced sections around the passenger compartment. Those structural areas require specialized repair. We handle suitable exterior bodywork and identify structural repairs that require an appropriately qualified BMW repair facility.
Is collision repair different on the BMW i3?
Yes. The i3 uses a carbon-fiber passenger cell, a separate aluminum drive structure, and thermoplastic exterior body panels. BMW distinguishes routine outer-panel repairs from more complex structural repairs. We determine which parts we can repair or replace in-house before starting work.
Can a BMW i4 fender be repaired after a parking collision?
Often, yes. We can repair a dented or scratched fender if the impact didn't damage its mounting points or nearby components. The appropriate method depends on the panel's condition and the vehicle's repair instructions. We evaluate the eligible bodywork and provide an estimate for repair or replacement.
What if my BMW iX's panoramic roof glass cracks during an accident?
A cracked panoramic roof or other large glazing panel requires the right replacement procedure, adhesives, and sealing. The roof structure must also be considered if the impact extended beyond the glass. We establish the scope of the glass repair and identify any restricted structural work before proceeding.
Can replacing the front bumper affect BMW's driver-assistance equipment?
Yes. BMW electric models may have cameras, radar, and parking sensors positioned in or near the front bodywork. An impact or replacement operation can affect their mounting and operation. We restore eligible exterior components and identify any diagnostic or calibration procedures requiring qualified equipment.
Does BMW iX rear-quarter damage require a different repair method?
It may. The iX uses a combination of body materials, including carbon-fiber reinforced components in parts of its side and rear structure. An outer-panel repair is not the same as restoring underlying structural damage. We determine the affected materials and permitted operations before recommending a repair.
Can you repair paint damage around my BMW's charging flap?
We can assess eligible damage to the exterior flap and surrounding painted bodywork. Scratches or dents may require refinishing or panel repair. If the impact also damaged the charging socket, wiring, or electronic components, qualified electrical assessment is needed before completing the surrounding bodywork.
Will BMW electric vehicle accident repairs take longer than ordinary bodywork?
Not necessarily for a straightforward exterior repair. More complex jobs may require model-specific parts, additional disassembly, or specialized facilities for composite structures and electronic systems. We establish the approved bodywork and parts availability first, then discuss the expected repair schedule.
