Our team assists with insurance claims and backs qualifying paint and bodywork with a limited lifetime warranty.
Ford Electric Vehicle Collision Repair FAQs
Can you repair the front trunk on my F-150 Lightning after a collision?
We assess eligible damage to the hood, exterior panels, seals, and front trunk opening. The Lightning's front trunk includes powered opening and locking components on equipped versions, so an impact can affect more than the outer panel. We identify any electrical or specialized operations needed before restoring exterior fit.
Is F-150 Lightning aluminum body repair different from Mach-E body repair?
Yes. The Lightning has an aluminum-intensive body, while the Mustang Mach-E uses several grades of steel in its structure. Joining, component replacement, and corrosion protection requirements differ. We identify the damaged material and Ford's repair procedure rather than treating both EVs as having the same construction.
Can the rocker panel on a Mustang Mach-E be straightened?
That depends on the damaged section. Ford uses ultra-high-strength boron steel in certain Mach-E rocker reinforcements and prohibits sectioning those components. Minor outer-panel damage and structural reinforcement damage require different repair decisions. We establish the permitted method before undertaking the work.
What if my F-150 Lightning's pickup bed was hit from the side?
The impact may affect the outer bed panel, attachments, or the structure beneath it. Ford publishes procedures for aluminum body components, and permissible repairs depend on the damaged section and model year. We assess eligible exterior repairs and identify any specialized panel replacement or structural work required.
Why won't my Mustang Mach-E start after an accident?
Ford equips the Mach-E with an automatic crash shutoff system that can deactivate high voltage following a moderate or severe collision. Do not attempt to bypass the shutdown. The vehicle needs the appropriate qualified assessment before it can return to service. We discuss body repairs after the necessary safety requirements are met.
Can rear-end damage affect F-150 Lightning tailgate equipment?
Yes. A rear impact may damage the tailgate, camera, latch, lighting connections, or nearby power outlets on equipped trucks. Straightening a dented outer panel will not necessarily restore those functions. We repair eligible body components and identify electrical or electronic work requiring specialist attention.
Will Ford BlueCruise need attention after windshield or front-end repairs?
On equipped Ford EVs, BlueCruise relies on cameras and other driver-assistance systems. Replacing a windshield or disturbing related exterior sensor mounting areas can require diagnostic checks or calibration. We account for the affected bodywork and identify the qualified electronic procedures required by Ford.
Can you handle accident damage on a Ford E-Transit cargo van?
We can review E-Transit door and cargo-panel damage, but an in-person appointment depends on roof height, wheelbase, and access to the affected area in our facility. Send your van’s configuration and damage photos first so we can confirm the repair scope. High-voltage or restricted structural work requires qualified service.
